Getting Started

I work with adult individuals, in person and virtually, who are currently residing in Michigan.

The first step in getting started is reaching out to schedule a free 20-minute phone call to further explore if we would be a good fit for working together. Email is the fastest method to do so, but feel free to call or text as well.

Fee, Insurance, and Payment

My full fee is $175 per 53-minute session.

I currently am able to accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) health insurance but I am not able to accept Blue Care Network (BCN) or Blue Care Complete (BCC).

Individuals are responsible for understanding their own insurance plan’s outpatient mental health coverage, deductible, co-pay, and out-of-network coverage. I encourage you to contact your insurance plan. I also can provide a super-bill for individuals to file for reimbursement with their insurance themselves directly, or I can bill insurance companies that provide out-of-network coverage (which often means higher co-pays and deductibles).

Scholarship and Sliding Scale Rates

My Scholarship Fee is between $100-$175

I am committed to contributing to more affordable and accessible healthcare over the course of my career and therefore I am dedicated to offering need and social justice-based scholarship and reduced rates for individuals of historically, currently marginalized and oppressed peoples, BIPOC, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those who may not have access to health insurance or may be experiencing financial barriers to accessing psychotherapy. In order to be able to provide scholarships and reduced rates, I reserve a select number of client spots within my private practice for those who may benefit from a Scholarship or sliding scale rate.

Sliding Scale Rates below $100 are determined on a case-by-case scenario and in collaboration with the individual.

Availability and Waitlist

I see clients Tuesday-Friday during business hours, 9am-5pm. I maintain a waitlist if possible when I am unable to accept new clients and will notify individuals when availability changes in the future. I am unable to provide estimates on wait times or future availability.

Resources

I recognize that there are many barriers to accessible, affordable, and high-quality psychotherapy and mental health support. These barriers may be individual, familial, cultural, and systematic. And most, if not all, are interconnected. If you are having difficulty finding affordable and accessible psychotherapy please visit the resources page.
